Yu Geunhyeong (Haegang pottery kiln)

 

 

1894 born in Seoul, April 5th.

1911~1945 began to produce celadon porcelain.

Study hard for reproduction of the Goryeo celadon while investigating the old kiln site all over the country.

1954 won the Minister of Education Prize in the 3rd domestic exhibition

1956 won the gold prize in the California international exhibition.

1960 established the "Institute of Haegang Goryeo celadon" in Sugwang-ri, Sindun-myeon, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do.

1981 won the Prime Minister Prize in the 6th traditional handicraft art exhibition.

1988 became the Gyeonggi-do intangible cultural pottery.

1993 passed away
